Back in the Shed – March 8, 2025

Random things. Mostly in a bit of a panic the past few weeks. Thought maybe I’d make a post to look back at the good things that I’ve been doing lately:

  • Starting to train for a race in May this week. I basically haven’t exercised in what feels like 10 million years. Mostly rationalizations of not re-injuring my plantar. >huff-puff< Looking forward to the time change and warmer weather
  • Attempted to spin-out about the very real possibility of getting laid-off in the next few weeks but Andy helped calm me down. #bigbro #perspective
  • Worked on two different drawing projects this week and my DnD campaign. Continued my general resolution to not post on Insta due mostly to a general, “fuck social media” personal sentiment (see previous posts).
  • Taught myself “Let It Be” on piano…or a basic version of it. C – G – A – F (basically)
  • Listened to Safe As Milk, watched some of Adam’s mini/model videos, played/cleared Monument Valley III.
  • Finished a few books. I’ve been reading a lot and trying/failing to stay off social media (see above).
  • Created a new garden bed for native plants in the backyard and ordered some seeds (Helianthus, Rudbeckia and Gaillardia)
  • Looked over my Bonsai still tucked away for the winter. Looks like the maple buds are starting to swell.
